Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival / Negombo

Upon arrival at Bandaranayake International Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel in Negombo.

Spend the day at leisure, relaxing after your journey. You may choose to unwind by the pool, take a peaceful stroll along Negombo Beach, or simply rest and enjoy the tropical atmosphere.

(If time permits: Visit the Negombo Fish Market)

Overnight stay in Negombo.

Day 2 – Negombo / Sigiriya

After breakfast, travel to Sigiriya (approx. 4 hours).

Stopping en route to visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.

Climb the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, offering panoramic views.

(Optional: Visit a local village or unwind with an Ayurvedic spa session.)

Overnight stay in Sigiriya.

Day 3 – Sigiriya / Dambulla / Minneriya

After breakfast, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, renowned for its Buddhist murals and statues.

In the afternoon, enjoy a thrilling safari at Minneriya National Park to see wild elephants.

(Optional: Visit the Avukana Buddha Statue)

Overnight stay in Sigiriya.

 

Day 4 – Kandy

After breakfast, travel to Kandy (approx. 2.5–3 hours).

Visit the Gem Museum, Temple of the Tooth Relic and stroll around Kandy Lake.

(Optional: Attend a traditional Kandyan dance performance or explore the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya.)

Overnight stay in Kandy.

 

Day 5,6 – Kithugala

After breakfast, travel to Kithulgala (approx. 3 hours).

Kithulgala is renowned for its adventure activities. Enjoy white-water rafting, Confidence Jump, Stream Slides or explore the surrounding rainforests on foot.

(Optional: Trek the route where the famous movie “The Bridge on the River Kwai” was filmed or Abseiling.)

2 Nights stay in Kithulgala.

 

 

Day 7 – Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, head to Nuwara Eliya (approx. 2.5–3 hours).

Admire the Ramboda Falls and visit to a tea plantation on the way.

Take a stroll around Gregory Lake and explore the town.

(Optional: Visit Hakgala Botanical Gardens.)

Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

 

Day 8 – Nuwara Eliya

In the morning, go on a hike to Horton Plains National Park which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site to see World’s End and Baker’s Falls.

(Optional: Visit the Seetha Amman Temple or explore the local markets for tea and fresh produce.)

Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

 

Day 9 – Ella

After breakfast, travel to Ella (approx. 3 hrs).

Enjoy a scenic train ride from Nanu Oya through lush tea estates and misty hills (with early booking) or continue by road.

Later, visit the Nine Arches Bridge, an iconic colonial-era landmark surrounded by greenery — a perfect photo stop, especially when a train passes.

Overnight stay in Ella.

Day 10 – Yala

After breakfast, enjoy the thrilling Ravana Zip Line, offering amazing views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

Later, travel to Yala (approx. 2 hours).

Embark on an afternoon safari in Yala National Park, famous for its leopards, elephants, and diverse wildlife.

(Optional: Visit Kirinda Temple or enjoy a sunset at the park’s edge.)

Day 11 – Mirissa

After breakfast, travel to Mirissa (approx. 2.5 hours).

Relax and unwind on the beach and capture breathtaking vistas at Coconut Tree Hills.

(Optional: Go whale watching, Snorkeling with turtles or visit Parrot Rock)

Overnight stay in Mirissa.

 

Day 12 – Hikkaduwa

After breakfast, embark on a day trip to Galle.

Visit the historic Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and explore its ramparts, lighthouse, and boutique shops.

(Optional: On the return, stop at Jungle Beach or the Japanese Peace Pagoda.)

Overnight stay in Hikkaduwa.

 

Day 13 – Bentota/Colombo

After breakfast, travel to Bentota (approx. 2 hours).

Enjoy a boat ride along the Madu Ganga River, where you can explore mangrove forests, visit small islands (there are around five islands) and learn about cinnamon cultivation. Experience a unique fish spa, where small fish nibble away dead skin from your feet.

(Optional: Visit the Turtle Hatchery).

Overnight stay in Colombo.

 

 

Day 14 – Colombo

Spend the day exploring the city’s highlights, such as Gangaramaya Temple, Independence Square, Pettah Market, Lotus Tower, Galle Face Green.

(Optional: Enjoy shopping in Colombo’s trendy boutiques and fashion stores, or take a fun tuk-tuk ride through the city’s lively streets.)

Overnight stay in Colombo.

 

Day 15 – Departure

After breakfast, enjoy some last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Colombo.

Later, travel to Bandaranayake International Airport (approx. 1–2 hours) for your departure flight.
